Abstract

The study are reporting a case of labial agglutination in a female patient who is 22 years old due to its unusual appearance and a special approach to therapy in this age range, where the patient has been suffering since infancy. Labial agglutination is a partial or complete adhesion of the minor labia. It frequently affects prepubescent or postmenopausal women and is associated by low oestrogen levels. Labial agglutination is rare since women in the reproductive age range have high amounts of oestrogen. After a comprehensive clinical examination, extensive history-taking and all necessary laboratory and imaging tests, we were able to make the right diagnosis, which was then treated with expert surgery. Her abnormal vestibular structure was treated with this method without any complications. The patient had surgery, or labial adhesiolysis, utilizing our usual hysteroscope light and camera technique. Labial adhesion can be addressed surgically and therapeutically, however each patient's condition is different, and treatments can range from minimally invasive surgery to extensive skilled surgery.
