Abstract

Nanomaterials are very small in size, measure 100nm or less. Since they are small in size their properties are different than original properties of the parent compound. They have high reactivity, good adsorption capacity so they can be used efficiently in environmental remediation. This research work aims in determination of application of nanomaterials in control of pollution of air, water, and soil The present research work shows that nanoparticles can be used for remediation of water, air as well as soil. Research also highlights on various types of nanoadsorbants, nanocatalyst, nanofilters But in the end, we also have to consider about toxicity which can be due to the small size of these particles, hence before using them their toxicity should be assessed and standard techniques to be developed by scientist for their use.
