The governorate of Anbar appears to have neglected to balance natural and constructed components, as well as their impact on the local climate, particularly in terms of providing green spaces. The natural environment has influenced the climate, which is defined by harshness in the hot, dry region, and necessitates devising solutions for climatic design and achieving ecosystem efficiency, as well as providing green spaces compatible with the nature of the city and its inhabitants. The study challenge identifies the importance of green spaces in climate design and achieves high ecosystem efficiency. The research aims to study the role of green spaces and their impact on improving the local climate of desert cities with hot and dry weather, including Anbar Governorate (study sample), and achieving the sustainability of its climate design and the efficiency of its ecosystem. The research reached many proposed solutions through which it is possible to overcome the difficulties and challenges facing green spaces within the cities of Anbar Governorate. The research reached many proposed solutions through which it is possible to overcome the difficulties and challenges facing green spaces within the cities of Anbar Governorate. Green space preservation and protection, as well as improving their efficiency and area by transforming unused areas into green spaces, are among them. Furthermore, achieving many of the proposals will emphasise the function and relevance of green spaces in attaining environmental and aesthetic balance in the cities of Anbar Governorate.
