Use of the Whole Brain Theory to Develop Creativity with Children in a Marginal Area of Lima

The main objective of the research was to apply Ned Hermann's whole-brain theory with the four quadrants, in children under six years of age. For this, practical activities were elaborated for the chosen indicators of the Herrmann questionnaire so that they can be developed in a playful way in the child population. The population was 28 boys and girls from marginal families and low socioeconomic status in the city of Lima, Peru, and the application was carried out in 2018. At the end of the study, it can be affirmed that it is possible to apply the questionnaire of the Whole Brain Theory to children between two and six years old, converting the indicators description into playful activities. Regarding the results by quadrants, quadrant A referred to as logical-mathematical is the most complex for designing playful activities. The creative capacity of children is stated in activities that indicate the combinations of quadrants A with D and C with D. On the other hand, the combination B with D could not be delved into.
