Apigenin: A Phytoconstituent Therapeutic Prospective

Apigenin has recently attracted attention as a nutritional flavonoids as well as a health promoting agent because of its low intrinsic toxicity and potent antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, neuroprotective, and anti cancer activity. Apigenin is reported to be useful in combination therapies with various chemotherapy drugs, along with its role as a chemosensitizer on chemotherapy drugs. Apigenin as a drug has been proven to be effective for various pharmacological purposes based on the literature to date, although there are currently insufficient credible scientific studies and regulatory authority certifications.
